This NGEN GY-302 Ambient Sensor Module is a digital light intensity detector equipped with the BH1750 light sensor, which is a highly precise, ultra-low power sensor with a very large meas-uring range. The module connects to any microcontrollers that have an I2C interface.
The module integrates a level converter which allows the module to be supplied with 3V as well as with 5V which is compatible with most microcontrollers.
The sensor has spectral characteristics close to visual sensitivity and provides high accuracy measurements of 1 lux for a wide range of luminance which makes it a highly versatile sensor. The sensor does not distinguish between ambient light sources.
Due to its popularity in the community, there are many different Open-Source libraries that can be used to interface with this module over the I2C interface with microcontrollers like Raspber-ry Pi and Arduino.
