The round part pushed easily into the lower outside hole in the headlight mounting bracket with fingers alone. The rectangular part needs quite a lot more force to get it in. It would not go with finger pressure alone even with a little petroleum jelly for lubricant and I had to set the mount down on a firm surface and lean heavily on a short length of wood rested on the fitting to get it in. It is fairly self evident which way around it has to be fitted if like mine the old one had completely turned to dust.
