Got this since I transport my elderly parents and sometimes an extra handle can be helpful. These are probably better suited for use with lower height vehicles where they need to lower themselves down/up. The handles work in two orientations as shown in the photos. Handle grips are a nice size.

I got my disabled sister one of these and she loved it, so I figured I'd get one before my upcoming knee surgery. She was right, this is a great way to help you get in and especially out of a vehicle. I tested it on my both Subaru and Scion and it was a perfect fit for both. It seems to be a very heavy design, with a well-cushioned handle. It may actually fit a bit high for some people, but that probably depends a lot on the design of the car, position of the seat, and size of the person. Overall, I wouldn't make that much of a concern.Having said all that, this item is not the least bit unique. I don't know who the designer/patent holder was, but they should get the glory. There are lots of similar items on Amazon, some of which have the added feature of a knife to cut seat belts in an emergency. This one is fine, but nothing special.
