These rails are made of very good quality metal. They are sturdy and, having two places to hold on each bar, you could use them two-handed if you wanted to. When I first looked at the screws, I did wonder whether they were long enough to resist the force that might be applied to them. No doubt they have been tested thoroughly though and there are seven screws for each rail which spreads the load and you could always use longer screws if you wanted to. Given the angle of the rail to the fixing plate, these rails are ideal for steps and could be used indoors or outdoors. However, they would be really good outside for a door that has some steps and, being black, won’t show the dirt.

It has been very slipper by my sliding doors so I decided to install some handrails. The VANROUG 2 Pack Handrails for Outdoor Steps have been a fantastic choice for me These are excellent quality and are sold as a set of two, making them a great value for the price. The U-shaped design is specifically crafted for 1-3 step stairs, I have two steps so it fits perfectly. If you have three steps make sure you measure before you order or they may be short.The handrails are made of high-quality metal with one-piece welding and they feel durable and well-made when in your hand. They have a thickened and widened bottom plate enhancing stability when applying pressure to the railing. I like the powder coating that will protect the handrails from damage over time. Good quality and value for money.

I fixed one of the rails to the wall to help my father get up and down a step. Great design, however, the screws that were supplied were very small and not sufficient for a secure fixing. So I replaced them with something more substantial. Now it does the job!
