Not a xt60i connector, middle pin does not connect to anything.

This kit comes with two XT60 male adapters each with 6" lead. The leads are very flexible and their coating feels like silicone. In addition, there are four small screws; two per adapter.Overall I'm pleased with this product. It has helped me complete my little project in which the leads of this XT60 connect to a solar charge controller and enabling me to connect solar panels to my project.

This particular XT60i-F is not a true I-F and acts as a XT60. The centre pin is not connected to the ground pin so I had to solder it. Other than that connector is good quality

So I have a lot of the normal XT60 connectors and wasn't sure if the XT60I would work with them. Well I can say there was no problems connecting them together. I know they say the XT60I is rated for 100A and the XT60 for 60A (you'd think they would've called this an XT100 then instead), I personally can't visually see any difference other than the construction of the wires into the connector (and of course that extra metal tab on the XT60I which I think connects to the negative lead). These are definitely beefier on the termination of the wire into the terminal. But, I also make my own cables and have some with 12AWG wire so I would think they both could do 100A. Anyway...technically nothing I have pulls more than 60A at the moment so I'm good either way now. If you are pulling over 60A and don't bother with making your own cables this is definitely the way to go...
