I bought these for felt crafting with DMC floss and they are TERRIBLE for that. The inside hook catches the two strands as you sew, so when you try to pull through the tail, it's just knotted into the inside of the eye of the needle and it's an entire battle (sometimes requiring rethreading the needle) to get it to slideThey are much easier to thread, so I will give them two stars for that, but unfortunately they're a bit useless once you get them threaded, unless you alter the way you'd normally sew
