I’ve been playing pool and snooker for decades but didn’t know that such a thing existed!A maintenance set for your cue…The set consists of two each of two different grades of abrasive.The woven cloth cleaners seem to have an emery cloth interior, to smooth the surface, while the black ones contain a plastic abrasive, similar to a washing-up sponge, to clean off any larger deposits.Just slide them over your cue, grip firmly and move up and down. What could be simpler?A great idea, well executed, these have been added to the contents of my cue case along with the obligatory chalk and spare tips.

I thought I would give these a go on my 10 year old one piece and it has been pretty transformative. Essentially it is just a bit of Brillo pad inside the fabric but it really smooths off the gunk and lets the cue run smoothly on your bridge. The corse grit one does take a bit of the lacquer off too if you go at it hard but it really has got my cue action nice and smooth with no rub or judder whilst cueing. I am thinking of getting some cue balm now and taking the lacquer off completely as it feels so much nicer on my bridge than it used to.I wish I had given one of these a go years ago!
