I was so hesitant about this. Aftermarket parts are hit and miss. I’m also not the most careful or patient DIY repair woman. Took about an hour to install. Moment of truth … worked like a charm. The colour is dead on. Touch is the same. Response is the same. Can’t tell the difference. Repaired my own MacBook for less than $50. Couldn’t be happier.

Happy to report that I successfully replaced the trackpad in a A2159 2019 13" MacBook Pro. Even though the product listing doesn't list this model, I knew it would work for this model as well so I wanted to let others know. The part looks and feels identical to the original Apple trackpad except that this one works!It takes about 30-60 minutes to do it and you'll need a Pentalobe P5 (AKA 1.2) to open your MacBook Pro, and Torx T5 & T3 bits to do everything else. I bought an electronics repair tool kit and it did the job. I was also able to reuse the original trackpad cable.Good luck to anyone about to attempt this in the future. Don't hesitate to buy this aftermarket product.

A battery swap resulted in a damaged trackpad - this fixed it.
