I cannot see much use for an A5 Clip Board as an adult, but this pack of 10 Wooden Clipboards is a great value pack for use with kids. The clipboards are excellent quality and although smaller than your average A4, do not lack any of the functionality or the features of their larger counterparts.The backboard is rigid as you would expect, the clip at the top has a decent amount of grip, and it has a pen holder at the top to boot! One of the pictures on the Amazon listing is a bit misleading as it clearly shows an A4 Clipboard... but if you are looking for a smaller A5 alternative, these clipboards are top-notch!

I have been on the look out for some A5 sized ones for some time, ones that have a hanging hook so that I can hang them by laptops with notes/tasks on them to be carried out. These ones were just the sort that I needed.First of all, they look nice with the black plasticky coating on them, but the edges are uncovered, so you can see the wooden board from the sides. You would need to bear this in mind if you intended on using these outside as rain could get to the wood where the sides are uncovered. The retaining paper clip is very strong and snaps back in place quickly. There is a hook that extends out of the top of the paper clip for hanging and there is also a sprung loop for holding a pen in place.These are very nice, well thought out clipboards, but they do smell. There is a sort of "wee" smell about them, which is probably as a result of the wooden material they are made from. Hopefully that smell will fade over a few days of use.They are quite expensive for an A5 clipboard, but checking the prices of similar ones on Amazon, they are better than most due to the pen holder and hanging hook, which a lot of others do not have.Despite the "wee" type smell, I would still recommend them.
