The product comes directly from China. It was delivered to Luxembourg in 9 days.It is slightly different from the product photos. The main difference is in the bevel on the edges. On the photo the bevel is very pronounced (almost half the thickness), in reality it's more like 1 mm. It does the job of protecting the fingers from sharp edges, but a bigger bevel is probably better. I have a Powell Peralta Tail Bone and that one has a way bigger bevel. I will probably use a router to add a bigger bevel. The package also doesn't include a hex wrench, I don't know why would you want one, since the supplied screws are Phillips-head screws. The protectors are made out of ~7 mm (measured at 6.75 mm) black polymer. The description says rubber, but I don't think so, it's pretty hard. It's probably UHMW Polyethylene (hopefully) or Polyamide (Nylon). Although who knows? Only time will tell regarding the material's wear resistance. The mounting holes on one side are countersunk, but in my view not enough - the screw heads still protrude a bit. As the protectors wear over time, the screw heads will get abraded away. This means that while the protector is ~7 mm thick, once it wears down to ~5 mm, the screw heads will be completely removed, and, with nothing to hold them to the board, the protectors will just fall off. You would then have to unscrew the remaining shafts using pliers. I recommend taking an appropriate countersink bit (a 8.3 mm one) and countersink the screw holes a few mm deeper. The goal is to recess the screw heads so that the (tops of their) heads are 2-3 mm below the surface. This will result in a much longer practical lifespan. The mounting hardware is made of stainless steel, and consists of 4 M4x16 countersunk screws (PH2 head) and 4 M4 rivet nuts (2 of each per protector). Also provided is a 6 mm drill bit for wood (with a center spur). The rivet nuts are 11 mm long, with a 1 mm thick head. I measured several of my skateboards and surfskates, and their decks vary in thickness from 8.5 mm to 11 mm. A typical popsicle-shape skateboard deck, for which these protectors are suitable (in terms of shape) are usually on the thicker side, at least mine are 11 mm, so it will work as is. On the other hand, Powell Peralta Flight Decks are "epoxy infused, fiber reinforced" and are made thinner than a regular 7-ply, about 8.5 mm thick. Soulboardiy surfskate decks have carbon fiber reinforcements, and are also about 8.5 mm thick. If you would try to use the supplied rivet nuts on these thinner decks, they would stick out from the bottom of the deck by about 2.5 mm, and the protectors couldn't be put flush under the deck. This could be solved by grinding off a couple of mm off the bottom of the rivet nuts (leaving about 2-3 mm of thread engagement, which is not ideal but probably sufficient). Or you could sink a counterbore bit (which most people wouldn't have) or a regular drill bit 3 mm deep to into the backside of the protectors, so that they could fit over the protruding parts of the rivet nuts. In this case, though, don't countersink the screw holes too much below the protectors surface, or there would be not much material left to support the screw heads.
