Das Kabel ist zwar verwirr-sicher, aber hat nach einiger Zeit Kontaktprobleme und kann nicht mehr zum telefonieren benutzt werden.

The cable works well, and looks like it is made well.However, the one I received does not have the APC logo or part number on it, so I suspect it is a knock-off. If true, then it is over-priced, since APC sells the genuine one for less than it sells for here.

I needed this 'smart' cable to connect an APC SMT1500C via Modbus driver to a SuperMicro board running pfSense in order to utilize the apcupsd server package. The USB port on the SMT1500C went to a NAS so I needed pfSense to shutdown my LAN workstations running the apcupsd client in a power outage and this did the trick. Only downside was paying $24 for APC's proprietary cable that's not included with a ~$500 UPS but aside from that I'm happy.
