The nut cracker design is great, I think it could crack ball bearings. Brazil nuts don’t even cause any resistance on the handle. I would have given this product five stars except the base arrived in pieces and a hold down screw that attached the cracker to the base was missing. All fours sides of the bottom tray were broken off. I decided to glue it back together rather than return it.

I bought this cracker not knowing how well it would work on the hard shelled macadamia nuts (which I was told have the hardest shells of any nut) and Kukui nuts of Hawaii. I was pleasantly surprised with it and cracked several gallons of nuts and had no problems. As a matter of fact, it worked so well I bought a second one for my friend. Time will tell how it holds up but so far so good.

I have arthritis and it’s almost impossible to enjoy until I found this !!! It’s easy to operate and u will love it !!!

For many years, I have struggled with cracking nuts using muscle, hammers and rocks. This is easy and fast. I love how easy it is to crack macadamia nuts. Great leverage!

I live in a mac nut tree grove and I was using the ol' hammer method to crack the nuts. The nuts would fly off everywhere. This thing is so handy! Easy to use and cracks 'em right open without fuss. Easy-peasy. I'm not very strong and I can crack every nut easily.Use a sturdy table or bench though. Tough nuts take some torque and a wabbly table will fall over. The cracker will be fine, but you'll knock other stuff off if the table legs aren't even. Just saying.I like all the utensils it comes with too. A general nut cracker and a nut fork and so on.I just think it's a little expensive for a nut cracker, but it is worth it considering it does the job without fussing and saves a lot of time, it's worth it.Update: Keep it dry and out of the sun. It’s been about 7 months and it’s experiencing noticeable discoloring. But I had it on a porch that got occasional rain. It still works but it doesn’t look as pretty.
