These are fine, but the Motif brand storage bags do not fit well inside. I think most breast milk storage bags would not fit vertically.

These are a nice quality container, back in my day, I used ice cube bins, the tall long white ones, lol. If these fit your bags (CHECK THE DIMENSIONS!), these are great. The lid will help keep other freezer odors from absorbing into your bags. Even if you have a dedicated freezer, this will help you manage space and keep them organized better. I’m actually using them for other stuff, because it’s hard to find containers this shape - relatively long and narrow, but tall, and with lids.These don’t have a recycle number on them, but they are that slightly bendable - clear but slightly milky plastic that is typically of many storage containers. It is not the brittle kind. They are very sturdy, and the lid has and indent down, such that they stack easily, and the one on top can’t slide off. They only have a very very slight odor, not significant, what would be expected of a decent quality plastic.Tip: When freezing your milk, I would freeze them lying flat, then placing them in here. Or even better to maximize space, put this up on end while freezing bags so they freeze flat. If you do it in the container, they will kind of mold to the shape of the bag below, and really maximize space. Then you can put it the right way once it’s filled.

It definitely protects the bags but the top doesn’t close as my bags are too tall. It’s not universal. I didn’t need it to close so it’s fine.

This was perfect to store my frozen breast milk, and when it was time to defrost and use I just transferred the whole container to the fridge! Total life saver
