The file is not the one pictured it is not tapered as I expected. The file is also rough cut on one side and extremely fine on the other, again not what I was expecting. Finally the file is smooth on both edges so no good for getting in to corners.

Used to re-edge a mower blade that had seen better days. In about 30 minutes I was able to use this to completely reprofile the edge and remove all the stone chips and bent bits. I then used a sharpener to sharpen.Removes a surprising amount of metal but you will need a way to hold the thing you are filing rock steady (a vice or in my case a garden bench and a boot).

Item arrived a little later than expected (4 weeks) this was due to Amazon using a different carrier, which is not recommended within Italy. However, the file is good, strong, and the purpose of this tool is to sharpen blades on the mower, which it does. You need to have a bastard cut, any larger teeth causes burring, so this file is just fine. It's also good enough to bring back to life my old garden shears, which now have a half-decent edge once again. If you get a mower, this is a must have for your tool kit, along with a sharpening stone maybe, just to finish off that fine edge. Only dropped a point through long delivery time.
