This product is a weighty and substantial tool which does exactly what it is supposed to do on most chunks of wood, even knotty pieces with multiple forks! I also purchased an Estwings SureSplit wedge, which has a more dynamic design, figuring that I'd likley need it on the more awkward logs....So far I haven't needed it.....The Bahco wedge works a treat. Thoroughly recommended.

Not really strong enough for splitting beech , having to have edges reground as they have chipped . This is only after a few weeks work . Bahco have the name but these are not good

I'm sure it's very nice, just never received the product, only an empty box with a hole in the side

As my husband had some very large yew logs to split, he would have prefered the old fashion type of log splitter (a wide blade attached to a handle) but, as these no longer appear to be available, two of these wedges have made a very acceptable alternative.
