This axe blade cover is a great way to protect your axe blade while also protecting you from the blade. The cover is made mostly of thick nylon and has a metal snap at the top and Velcro flap at the back. It's important to note, that this cover is not designed to be used with axes that have a hammer head style back. It goes on but does not fit correctly. This blade cover is designed to be used with the flat style back (see axe with yellow handle in picture). I've been very pleased with this protective axe cover and recommend it. Just make sure you have the correct style axe to it correctly.
