I tried several mounts before. This worked really well for me. It secures the jack well with no vibration behind the A-pillar to the side of the truck so that it does not obstruct the driver's view and the lock, easily keyed to your stock Jeeps key, is an ample deterrent from theft and looks nifty. Easy to install and the jack becomes easily accessible when you need it on the trail.

Materiale molto valido. Robusto e ben fatto. Installazione semplice. Attivazione serratura con chiave auto scelta intelligente. Necessaria pinza per ribattini idonea per misura 1/4" che richiede una buona potenza con bracci lunghi che esercitino la giusta forza per fissare i ribattini. Pinza tradizionale non idonea. Consigliato.

Bolt Jeep Wrangler hood locks are of excellent quality, and are easy to install. I have used them in the past on Wrangler JKs with great results. A word of warning, however, about the model for the JL Wrangler ( 2018-present. ) The mechanism itself is fine and installs without issues. The replacement grill insert included in the kit, however, matches only the 2018-2023 models. In 2024 jeep changed the front grill inserts to a design that is different from the insert provided in the Bolt kit. This is not mentioned in the product posting on Amazon. Second, the link to the installation instructions is a link to the old, superseded instructions (4737932AA). The kit comes with the new instructions (4737932AB - see picture of updated instructions) which do mention the fact that the provided insert does not match the revised 2024+ grill. It directs you to the Bolt website which provides instructions and a template for cutting the 2024+ grill. The Amazon website does not mention the requirement to cut the grill on 2024+ models. Finally, the Bolt template instructs the purchaser to cut two sections of the grill mesh. This leaves quite a large and unsightly hole in the grill. I was about to return the kit for a refund, but decided to see if I could cut less of the grill. It turns out that it is necessary to only remove one section of the grill to obtain full functionality of the Bolt hood lock. This gives it a much more acceptable appearance (see picture of completed installation.) Amazon: please update your product posting to reflect the 3 points above.

Ich möchte nur noch einen Schlüssel herumtragen, daher habe ich mich für diese Motorhaubenschloss entschieden. Alle Montageteile sind vorhanden. Die Nieten zum Befestigen sind von der größeren Sorte und mit einer einfachen Handzange schwer zu vernieten. Ich habe einen Druckluftnieter benutzt, damit geht es hervorragend. Die Montage ist in ca. 20 min. erledigt. Beim Schlüssel anlernen hakelt das Schloss etwas und ich habe etwas „Nachdruck“ benötigt. Passt alles und ich bin zufrieden. Der Preis ist etwas hoch angesetzt.

Erst war ich skeptisch da auf der Verpackung stand: Für die "meisten" JL passend... Da ich wusste, dass die EU Modelle eine andere Motorhaube haben war ich mir nicht 100% sicher.Aber alles ok, das Schloss funktioniert einwandfrei.Das Paket kam schneller als gedacht hier an obwohl es aus den USA verschickt wurde. Alles zusammen habe ich inklusive Versand über 70 € gespart als wenn ich bei einem Deutschen Händler das Produkt gekauft hätte.Ich konnte den Grill trotz montierter Smittybilt Winde abbauen. Die Außentemperatur war nur +5°C. Da hatte ich mit einem Fön nachhelfen müssen die Plastikclips weich zu bekommen damit sie mir nicht brechen. Auch bei der Entfernung des mittleren Grilleinsatzes braucht man Gefühl bei niedrigen Temperaturen da die Plastikclips ordentlich greifen.Anstatt der fetten 6,4mm Edelstahlniete habe ich M6x16 Edelstahlschrauben besorgt, mit Unterlegscheiben, Sicherungsscheiben und Muttern. Es sieht stabil aus und hält.Sieht alles sehr gut aus am Jeep, nichts wackelt oder sitzt zu stramm. Der mittlere Grilleinsatz ist von sehr guter Qualität und passt sich harmonisch ein.Tolle Sache das man den Original Schlüssel nehmen kann. Das Coding hatte problemlos funktioniert und der Schlüssel lässt sich in offener und geschlossener Position entfernen.Ein praktisches und durchdachtes Schloss.
