This does the job. I was having difficulty re-fitting the top header track on an old greenhouse door. I used it to widen the aluminium screw holes on the end roof bar - a delicate task - too much and I would have ruined the bar and the door header. However, after buying a set of new door wheels, the door was refitted. She owes me a tenner!

If making a screwdriver organiser in timber, make sure the drill bit you use is at least 1 size bigger then your screwdriver shaft or you will get a extremely secure driver that will make a horrible screeching when pulling it out of its slot!Spent a age looking for a good circular rasp to expand the holes I had made in a piece of lumber to organise my screwdrivers when I realised I could just buy this, in conjunction with my drill/driver to solve the problem in seconds, I'm not a woodworking pro or anything but i do have a hand reamer and this drill bit is far more effective.

I occasionally need to adjust trims, lock keeps and similar on commercial doors and frames. 90% of the time its aluminium sometimes stainless steel. I bought and tested 4 items for where I could not use a saw or disk cutter (basically to avoid filing by hand):-1. 10mm x 20mm Single Cut Cylindrical Tungsten Carbide Bur Rotary File Bit - £5.53It does work well in 3mm thick aluminium (does not clog up too bad). However, one of the first uses was to put 4 "notches" in some stainless steel sheeting (each about 10mm x 10mm cuts in about 1mm sheet). I was not sure if the file would cope with stainless but I thought I would try it. It worked better than expected and made all 4 cuts (although taking some damage to the teeth in the process). However, it solved a problem for me and for the price I am quite happy. In fact I have ordered 2 more!2. Piranha 6mm Metal Cut Rasp Drill - £5.27Drill action works fine (well so it should) but the rasp action is poor for aluminium (teeth are too small and they clog). Actually works a bit better on steel (not what I want it for but thought I would test it). Will probably bin this one.3. Bosch 2609255304 6 x 85mm Rasp Drill Bit with Chisel Edge118 - £6.99Looks similar to the Piranha rasp mentioned above but works much better . Has bigger teeth and cutting edge is more prominent, this one will be added to my tool kit.4. Faithfull RRCYL 12 x 30mm Rotary Rasp Cylindrical - £2.75I was sceptical about this one, package says it will file non ferrous metal including Aluminium. I used a light oil lubricant and it cut very fast (initially I was very impressed) through aluminium that was a couple of mm thick BUT within a minutes use I checked the teeth and 5 or 6 were snapped off and probably half had taken significant damage. Tried it on wood - worked fine but it's not tough enough for aluminium. It's cheap and fast but wears out too quickly.
