I am 72 and just starting to learn Spanish, prior to walking the Camino Frances. This is the book that my course is biased on and as such it is excellent. However it is also the group that I am studying with that makes learning a new language enjoyable. The book is well written, beautifully illustrated and the ability to download video and audible exercises makes this “package” a valuable learning resource

This is a genuinely beautiful book. It's wonderfully put together and it offers so much information. If the idea of walking a pilgrimage is something that interests you, even if you're not religious yourself, this is the perfect companion book for you.

This is such a wonderful, informative book. It is well printed with clear illustrations, and directions that include What3Words. It's written by authors who obviously love their subject. I have lived in my local area most of my life but had never before known of a local well with it's background story, just 15 minutes from my door, so for that alone I would highly recommend this book.

This is a beautifully-produced and well-written book highlighting both well-known and obscure sites across the UK. I've just been using it on a car-based trip, alongside other guidebooks. An obvious physical problem here is that it's bigger than other guide-books, so it doesn't feel like it's intended to be carried around.That also came through when I was using the book to look for interesting places ahead on our journey. The book is divided into seven geographical sections, each of them having a map of sites, and then within that into counties. So to find nearby sites from the one you're looking at you have to re-find the section map, which might well be more than 50 pages earlier. This turned out to be quite an annoyance - there's no colour-coding between sections, so those area maps are time-consuming to find. I might have to turn those pages down! Having maps at the county level - small ones would do - which also indicated the adjacent counties and their page numbers - would have saved a lot of frustration.The other annoyance is that site locations are given in what.three.words, and in GPS co-ordinates, but not as grid references. Some of us still use Ordnance Survey maps! It's only really an issue for the more hidden and off-road locations, but that's when you need them most. Surely doing that conversion would not have been hard.
