If you are in Canada, and a coach of amateur football, you will know that finding a helmet pump in a retail location is nearly impossible. You basically have to order from a wholesaler, which is not convenient if you need a single helmet pump. This is the CORRECT needle length for Riddell helmets, which is almost impossible to find outside of Riddell brand pumps. You won't puncture the bladder here with an oversized needle. However, you DON'T get the glycerin to lubricate the needle, which sucks. If you got a spill-proof glycerin bottle, I'd give it 5 stars.

This football helmet pump worked for my son's Riddell Speed-flex helmet! The coach misplaced the only helmet pump for the team. We needed one, and this worked Perfectly! For you parents, or student athletes, or you "forgetful coaches"...this works without a hitch! Get one...you will not regret it!

I bought this before my sons Riddell SpeedFlex arrived, not realizing it came with its own pump. I'm glad I bought this, because it's far superior to the one that Riddell includes. I would recommend.
