I was worried about this device when it turned up. It's not really a Thunderbolt device as the built in cable doesn't have the Thunderbolt logo. It is however a genuine USB4 device. Other devices which claim high speed have topped out at about 2.5Gb/s. This one gives a consistent 3.5Gb/s. There's also a useful light indicating whether it's a USB4 connection or not. Other positives are it's easy to use, the supplied TIM is already installed and is on both sides at the controller end, which is a nice touch and supports the drive the mm or so at the connector. The device is sturdy and relatively heavy which is going to help with heat dissipation. It's very easy to get into with a latch type arrangement. I've not heard the fans at present. Great value for money and I got a voucher too. Tested with a Samsung 990 Pro 2TB and Blackmagic disc tester.

je ne suis pas sur de gardé cette article car je trouve dommage que le câble soit intégré dans le boîtier ce qui n'est pas très intelligent de la part du fabricant car si un jours le câble vient a cassé ou avoir un mauvais contacts on ne peut pas le changer soit-même de plus les vitesses de transfert ne sont pas au top sur thunderbolt 4 en revanche ce que je ne comprends pas c'est que sur un autre appareil qui est lui uniquement usb 4 il tourne beaucoup plus rapidement produit a revoir par le constructeur car ce n'est pas logique

In Windows 10 wird von Thunderbolt-Anschlusses wird nicht erkannt. SSD funktioniert mit einem anderen Gerät problemlos.

Después de tres devoluciones, esta cumple (de momento) con la velocidad de escritura y lectura de 2900 Mbps, que por ver si en el resto de prestaciones también se comporta que espero.La primera compra fue una UGREEN, también de 40 GBps, a los pocos días empezaron las desconexiones, la siguiente fue una SATECHI también de 40 GBps, se calentaba demasiado. La tercera, me dicidI por SABRENT de 20GBps (ante las malas experiencias de las dos de 40 GBps) me decidí probar una de 20GBps pero esta SABRENT no había forma de que la velocidad pasase de 940Mbps.Por fin esta CABLE MATTERS parece que cumple. Además tiene ventilación pasiva que no se oye.

prodotto molto particolare , non avro ben capito io ma la cosa e' alquanto strana .. si apre un coperchio per fare uscired il cavo e fino a qui questa era una buona cosa , anzi era stata questa caratteristica a farmelo scegliere .. ma quando poi mi e' arrivato ho notato che lo sportello e proprio dal lato della memoria .. ogni volta che lo apri e lo chiudi si stacca la plastica del raffreddamento e non solo rischi con il cavo di rompere la memori e non solo rischi con le scariche elettrostatiche di rompere ogni volta la memori .. lo mando indietro poco affidabile

I think I'm done looking, ASM2464PD enclosures have been around for a bit but none of them seemed to hit all the details right until now.Almost every design out there considers the heat from the SSD but most ignore the Asmedia USB4 controller which by itself uses a fair bit of power in a tiny space. You can read other product reviews with nice pretty benchmarks but so many user complaints out there about throttling & disconnects for sustained use.I took this apart first thing (4 tiny screws under the cable dongle channel, no glue or stickers) and you can see the controller has a thermal pad that mates with the bottom heatsink right next to the main airway.The clamshell side is easy to use, I'm really sick of all the ones with sometimes multiple layers of tiny screws just to change drives. If a drive has anything thicker than a basic sticker (looking at you FX900 pro) or has a permanent heatsink you can leave the door open and it still works.They did go with an embedded dongle cable which is a plus or minus depending on your POV. You can't lose it and it nests completely inside the clamshell for storage. But its also fairly short & using a soldered daughterboard, so if it gets damaged then replacement would not be simple. I get why they did it this way for a portable unit, saves them dealing with user's random cables that are not up to spec.In actual use it works great, not too hot to touch nor does the fan sound annoying for complete drive clones or transfers (I think its actually off when idle/cool). I can confirm on USB4 ports it is true native PCIe that allows full access to the drive with all software tools, I used it to firmware flash a stack of 980 pros that were long overdue. (samsung updater tries to force a reboot but you can process kill it when completely done)I would note that if using in USB4/PCIe native mode (blue light) you might need to make sure the port has at least 15W PD, the lowest spec of 7.5W might be borderline for combined power when using this with top end PCIe 4.0 drives. USB3/UASP mode (green light) should be fine with almost anything.If you're basically never going to change the drive and don't mind a larger case I would maybe consider the 1M2 "DIY" version since there is no little fan to worry about clogging up with dust, but if you are doing more admin/technician/hobbyist work with drives this is the winner.If you are swapping TONS of drives (like several every day) keep in mind any m.2 connector itself does have a finite limit on insertions. Its probably hundreds depending on gold plating thickness, but at that point its fair to say you can justify buying another.
