ゴルフシューズに付属しているプラスチック製とは明らかに使い勝手が違い、ネジ穴にしっかり食い込むので舐める事がまず無いもちろん、ネジ穴に石や砂が噛んでいたら必ずピックで掻き出して使用する事が前提ですが

Works well. I did have some spikes that were so stubborn that I tore the holes the tool fits into to get a grip on. The solution was to run hot water over the spikes. I also used an old tooth brush to clean around them. This loosened them up enough that even the spikes with torn holes were then removed.

I did wonder if a special tool was really needed and the answer is yes.Getting the old spikes out can be very difficult. Do your best to clean the holes in the spike before engaging the tool and press down as you turn. For a couple I tried to resort to use a pair of pliers but they didn't help except when I virtually ripped one spike out.You also need the tool to set the new spikes in place since you have to press down while turning.
