I have a battery-powered pump, but it's a bit heavier than I would want to carry on every trip. This is definitely much lighter, but you need to supply your own CO2 cartridges.But not only is there no pressure gauge to check you have got the tyres to the right pressure, there's no way to shut off the flow from the cartridge. (Don't forget to attach it to the valve before the outflow starts, or you will find it very difficult to do.)

Diese Kartuschen Pumpe ist gut verarbeitet und alles ist geruchsneutral.Es ist keinerlei Druckanzeige dabei und man kann nicht kontrollieren, wie viel druck in den reifen kommt oder den auf füll Prozess unterbrechen.Es ist also wichtig, vor dem Eindrehen der Kartusche die Kartuschen pumpe an dem reifen zu befestigen.

Mit einer kleinen CO2 Kapsel bewaffnet, ist diese Luftpumpenalternative klein und leicht. Und darauf kommt es oftmals an. Allerdings ist eine Miniluftpumpe flexibler, dessen muss man sich bewusst sein.

For the Money, £8 (June 24) you can get similar budget CO2 valves, for Ryder, but with the ability to stop the flow part way through the CO2 cartridge.This one cannot do that - once the cartridge is pierced it will just flow out immediately, so this means you also have to screw it onto the Presta valve (only) before you screw in the cartridge, which is also a bit of extra faff.Given it comes with the ru8bber sleeve which is essential if your not wearing gloves, then this add a little bit of value to push it to 3*.Its great as an emergency back up, especially if you only use the 16g cartridges and need a whole one to inflate your tyre fully. But look elswehere if you use the bigger cartriges and want to be able to stop it part way - plus these then make putting it on & taking it off after easier.
