Stainless steel shaft and a quality metal casting make this the undisputed leader of marine hydraulic steering. Bought it on sale for under $500 to replace a 20+ yr old pump which needed a new $30 seal so it that is now a working spare or I might sell it. The angle fitting have been upgraded from brass to stainless steel.

The real thing, not a knockoff. Installed easily. Tips received from teleflex tech support: Do not use gasket or butyl tape behind flange. Instead after mounting just run a bead of polyurethane caulk around helm to console junction. Makes it easy to remove, just cut bead with razor knife. This helm worked perfectly after bleeding.
