The harness looks durable and seems true to size for our 30lb 3 year old boy. Fitting him into the harness was a little confusing though. It came with instructions and listed a couple ways to tie him in, but both seemed uncomfortable for him. When the rope was routed through both shoulder straps, when he would fall it would force him to twist and fall sideways instead of straight from the center of his harness. Using webbing would probably work, but it would take a bit of time to tie properly. I ended up using two reversed and opposed locking carabiners through both shoulder straps, and then both the biners also through the belay loop on his sit harness. I tied him in to the rope through the top of both carabiners. This way is really simple, the system is redundant, and when he falls he stays (mostly) centered.
