Even if the squirrels don't chew through the extremely thin plastic, I don't know how they will hold up winter after winter. The teeny, tiny screws and the teeny, tiny nuts are SO small as to be ridiculous. I have small hands and this was a nightmare to put together without having them pop off and disappear before I could tighten the screws. Only put one together since at that point I wanted to punch a hole in the wall from frustration!! I looked at dozens of these things and this seemed like a decent one but I have changed my mind. I wanted metal with screws but the one I bought last time is no longer available...

I purchased this product and the assembly was very difficult the attachment to the pole was too big and I had to improvise so that it would fit. The screws pull out from the holes and are way too small when trying to attach it to the pole. The squirrels have already tore the plastic pieces and the product just isn't quality.

I have several versions of these baffles. They work pretty well but the clamp/buckle that holds it on varies in quality and function.This set is a much improved version. What makes it better is a 2-piece plastic clamp that the baffle snaps into. The screws appear to be brass or at least coated so they won't rust. It works much better than the older metal clamp design that did not hold the baffle in place and often failed to hold it up. Keep in mind the pole needs to be about 1" in diameter for this to work effectively.Recommended for all your 1" bird feeder poles.
