I love this gadget! So easy to use and makes perfect and uniform noodles every time. Highly recommend if you want to make your own pasta.

The product itself was less the problem than the manner in which it was represented. It was listed as "Condition: Used - Acceptable - Item has major cosmetic damages but is still usable." The damage to this was NOT merely "cosmetic," it was absolutely unusable because the strings of the cutter were so mangled as to render it useless without restringing. IF the description had made it clear that it did not work in its present state I would definitely not have purchased it. It was an international order, so it is likely a major hassle to return it. As it is, I am stuck with this now and the only way it will be of any use is if I can restring it. I would NEVER buy from this vendor again as I feel they intentionally sold damaged goods as having merely a cosmetic flaw. I feel cheated.

The product itself was good but the packaging was mangled and I purchased it as a gift

Bought this Chitarra pasta maker since we wanted to make the square spaghetti used for "Cacio e Pepe". Obviously I made the pasta and first thing I did was to tighten the strings so the pasta can fall of with ease. I will mention that we already have a manual pasta maker which is essential to make the dough, even though you can use a common roller. Super easy to use and a great bang for the buck. "Buon appetito".

This Chitarra works exactly as designed. Rather then my 24" pasta rolling pin I find that a seperate bakers rolling pin works best. First letting the pin rotate then as the pasta is almost through the Chitarra grasping the pin directly and sliding it back and forth till the strings show. Then a quick strum of the base of the strings and the pasta falls right out. Regarding the complaint that the Chitarra is delivered with the strings somewhat loose, that is how it should be. Always store your Chitarra with most of the tention taken off the strings then tighten it for use. Do this and it will reward you with years of service. It is so attractive and interesting that I have hung it on a cabinet in my kitchen and company first seeing it never fail to ask about it and comment on it.
