Got this for our older livestock guardian dog. He is over 120 lbs and only eats once a day so this is about the right size of bowl. Since he is outside all the time I don't think this is the kind of dish he needs since it has to have a more stable base. Might get a stepping stone. plywood or something to make it more stable. The bowl is heavy ceramic that I am afraid will break with too much movement since we have to move it from the barn to the field each time we feed him. This is more for inside. When the bowl does break we will be looking for a lighter stainless steel type I think. Made in China.
