This is a convenient place to rest the chopsticks, but keep the eating end off the table. Both ends slope toward the center of the holder.

The Youda Stainless Steel Chopstick Holders are quite useful and look good on the table. The design is both functional and stylish and the heavyweight construction makes them durable. I gave them the Japanese wife test and she likes the heavy construction and that they are dishwasher safe. At a current price of $17 for ten dishwasher-safe rests, I think they are a good value.
