Back in 2021, I got my first hybrid vehicle with a Type 2 connector which rendered my Type 1 wall box charger obsolete. I had looked at similar products on another online selling site as they didn't exist on Amazon at the time. They were very expensive and I was very sceptical. Moving on to this year when my new hybrid car arrived and I found that Amazon were selling these, I took a chance and I have to say, I am not dissapointed. As others have said, the product is well made, fits well and does not overheat. I can now use by Type 1 wallbox again which saves hours in charging time compared to charging the vehicle via a 3-pin domestic supply. As well as going through the expense of changing my existing wallbox to a Type 2 compatible one.

Den Adapter habe ich für meinen Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-In Hybrid Bj. 2020 gekauft. Der Adapter wirkt wertig und funktioniert einwandfrei. Getestet habe ich an einer Wallbox mit 11 kW. Die Fahrzeug stand dabei vor Regen geschützt in einer Garage. Daher kann ich noch nichts über die Nutzung im Freien bei Regen berichten.

Adapter feels very solid and well made. Fits well onto type 1 cable and plugs securely into vehicle with Type 2 charging socket. I did wonder if there may be any fire hazard but the adapter does not get warm whilst in use (using 3.6kw charger) . Works fine and allows full charge to be transmitted to the vehicle.

I have used it to charge a 2016 30kwh Nissan Leaf with a Tesla granny charger. It works well with no issues. It feels very solid and well built.

There are lots of options on Amazon for this kind of adapter with a wide range of prices. I went for a mid-range price and an absolutely not disappointed with this product. This surely made, connects tightly to both plug and car, and - most importantly! - it works really well. No sign of overheating. Would definitely recommend.

This worked perfectly to charge my US spec Volvo T8 recharge when connected to a standard household EU type 2 wall box. Took the 3 phase type 2/ menekes plug and seamlessly fitted into my US J1772 receiver on my car. Immediately granted communication from car to wall box and charging began within seconds. Fully charged with no issues.Quality seems good, the plug has a high quality, hefty feel. Pins and connectors are solid and plastic is thick and appears durable. I would think this was OEM.Value is okay. The product is 40% more expensive than the same brand's product going from type 1 to type 2. I have also found some other adapters by other brands that are ~€50.Size is appropriate. Grants a good connection and clearance without unnecessary length or girth. Fits in glovebox if my Volvo easily leaving plenty of room for other items. YMMV with other cars.Only time will tell regarding longevity and weather resistance, I will update if I encounter any issues. I plan to use this most nights to charge from my wall box.

Muss allerdings 2 Themen erwähnen.Wie bereits gesagt funktioniert ohne Probleme macht was es soll, aber:1 Wasser, bzw. Regen ist ein Problem, hatte bereits mehrfach Wasser in dem Adapter und zwar Verbindung von Netzkabel zu Adapter.Vielleicht liegt es auch an meinem Fahrzeug ( Nissan E- NV200) Die Abdeckung endet genau an der Adapter Verbindung, so das das ganze Wasser darüber flieẞt.2. Der Adapter ist nicht verriegelt, somit kann bei öffentlichen Ladesäulen das laden durch herausziehen des Netzsteckers beendet werden und auch das Netzkabel kann dann entfernt und geklaut werden!
