Our camera's battery prior lasted 3-4 days depending on the climate and wind conditions.When connected it to the solar device, we noticed the camera’s battery was being drained so we decided to disconnect it considering it was not working (We get nice sunny days and the solar was installed where the sun hits from sunrise to sunset)Now, our battery lasts less than 24 hours so we have to charge it DAILY!!!!!! This device damaged our camera's battery.

This for IBERLS Arlo Essential Solar Panel Camera Charger, XL, Essential Spotlight, XL Spotlight, Essential Indoor, 13ft Waterproof Micro USB Cable, 360°Adjustable Mount, 22% Conversion Efficiency is pretty easy to install, but quite expensive at $26. I like that the wire is very long and that it is a flat micro USB end what makes it easier to attach. It is very slow to charge a drained camera, though, so I recommend to fully charge it indoor and then bring it outdoor so that the solar can help it to continuously work.

This works great with my bird buddy. I bought a $2 USB adapter so it could plug in, and voila, a solar charger for one third the cost. It doesn't have two panels facing different directions like the brand's 'roof', but I figure if I get just a few hours charging out of it every day or two, it should maintain the battery level just fine. So far so good!
