Lets face it, these are copies of a product made by another company. They do sell for much less, which is why I went with those. They do the job of relocating the bottle cage screw holes up or down an inch or two.

The bottle cage adapter comes with 3 pairs of stainless steel screws in different length. Presumably, you can use one pair for mounting the adapter to your frame, and another one for installing the water bottle to the adapter. The threads for the water bottle screws are cut directly in the alloy body of the adapter.As with any other case when installing steel fasteners into aluminum parts, I recommend using anti-seize paste to prevent corrosion. My personal choice is Liqui Moly ceramic paste - it works well, is non-toxic (relatively) and not messy, unlike copper/nickel/etc based anti-seizes, that leave hard to wash off stains.According to my measurements, the adapter can move your water bottle by up to 53 mm (more than the claimed 50 mm) in any direction. It can be useful to make a water bottle fit into a small size or full suspension frame with limited space inside the triangle, or to relocate your bottle lower for fitting a frame bag or just for lowering the bike's center of gravity.In my case, the medium-length pair of screws is the best option to attach the bottle cage to the adapter (the screws use all of the available thread, but don't stick out at the bottom - which could scratch the frame). The weight of the adapter with this medium-length pair of screws is 22.4 g. I didn't weigh the other screws, because the interesting thing here is how much extra weight does such an adapter add, compared to installing the bottle cage directly into the frame. Therefore, I didn't count the weight of the pair of screws that goes into the frame.This adapter seems to be a copy of Wolf Tooth Components B-RAD 2 (which is also available in longer versions, with 3 or 4 slots). The B-RAD 2 has a claimed weight of 27 g, but they don't specific which screws are included when checking the weight.There's an alternative product from SKS, called Cage Shifter, which is made of carbon-reinforced polyamide, allows to relocate the bottle by up to 48 mm (so, very slightly less than this adapter), and weights 16.3. It's black, it's cheaper than this item, and it's made in Germany. It does only come with one pair of screws (for attaching the water bottle to the adapter). In my case, I will most likely use the SKS adapter as it's lighter, and I don't mind the black color, and it matches well with my SKS Dual SC RH bottle cage (the RH cage, installed on the seat tube, is accessible from the left, not right).

Most bikes seem to have bottle cage fizing high up. Wgen using a top tube under bag, no room for water bottle. Problem solved with this high quality metal adapter allowing variation in mount position.

Diese Schiene ist eine perfekte Alternative zu Wolftooth B-RAD. Das Prinzip ist das selbe, nur um einiges günstiger.

Ein perfekter Adapter. Jetzt passt am Scott Mountainbike meiner Tochter auch endlich eine "normale" Fahrradtrinkfasche in den Flaschenhalter. Schnell montiert, in der Höhe flexibel einstellbar, preiswert und von sehr guter Qualität!
