As someone who’s still relatively new to welding, I decided to try the FEIFANKE J422 Welding Rods in 3/32" for my latest project, hoping they’d be a good fit for my skills and needs. I’m still learning the ropes of welding, so I may not have all the technical lingo down just yet, but I know enough to appreciate the qualities of a good rod. These 6013 rods delivered solid performance, especially considering my limited experience.I mainly use welding rods in the 60 range for their strength, and these fit right into that category. They worked great for the typical 3/16” and quarter-inch iron I’ve been practicing with. What really stood out to me was how easily I was able to strike and maintain the arc. As a beginner, I find that starting the arc is one of the trickier parts of welding, but with these rods, I had no problems at all. They sparked up quickly, and the arc stayed steady throughout the process.When it came time to clean the slag off, I was pleased to find that it came off easily and without a lot of hassle. The end result was consistently clean welds, which was reassuring for me as I’m still refining my technique. The welds were smooth, and I didn’t experience any major issues like spatter or excessive smoke, which can sometimes happen with cheaper rods.Overall, I’d say these rods are a solid option for beginner welders like me. They perform well across different positions, and I didn’t run into any major issues during my projects. While I would’ve preferred a sturdier packaging, the rods themselves performed consistently, making this a worthwhile purchase for someone still figuring things out in the world of welding.

I'm still a novice at SMAW, but 6013 seems to be a good choice for a lot of general-purpose welding. My results haven't been spectacular but that's mostly down to my lack of skill. I can't point to any faults in the rods themselves.

Works fine and no issues but there are better value for the price out there.

I did do some welding to test them.There wasn't as many in the package as I was expecting, but I think the ad was honest. It wasn't a full box of welding rods.I am still a novice/beginner welder, the welding rods seemed to work as good as any others that I have used. They were dry.The welding rods arrived in perfect condition.

This welding rod seems to be just fine. It is marked on the shielding J422 and the shield is in good condition. Standard length and weight compared to my other rods. Otherwise performance is as expected.
