Why?? The only job this piece has, is to transport the wick up when you turn the wheel. But if you turn the wheel, most of the time nothing happens. So you need to flip the glass cover over, pull with one hand on the wick while turning the wheel with the other, have smelly, black fingertips, and get annoyed. I bought a replacement because I had the problem with the original burner of my Firehand (and with other lamps as well) and hoped this one would be of better quality. But no. Why?? The Chinese fly to the dark side of the moon, why is there no petroleum lamp burner that transport wicks reliably?? Why? I am willing to pay for it! Please build some!
