I really expected more for the money To be polite I would just suggest that no one wastes their money unless they just want to use it for a still life project! To say that it was useless would be an understatement. I have worked with handmade Marudai and I have heard that you get what you paid for but in this case it fell far short of my expectations. It just falls apart and I even glued it, but even now I would not risk using it as it is simply too fragile and very poorly designed. If you want a cheap Marudai that works I would suggest that you just buy a round stool of about 45 cm high and then drill a small hole in the centre which is what I am going to. I won't throw this in the bin as it deserves as I want to keep it to remind me of my own stupidity in expecting the product to be well made! The thing could not even be used as an effective coaster for mug of tea. So, if you are thinking of buying this as a gift for someone, please don't as you will not go up in their estimation of you. I have said the above as I am an experienced craft person and a carpenter and so I really do know what I am talking about and this is the worst thing I have ever bought in my life!
