The sticky area counts for about a third of the width of the tape and what is there isn't sticky at all, selotape is stickier, i wrapped it on, turned around to deal with the mess looked back and watched it slowly unravel, it won't even adhere to itself let alone the bar, not good at all

Had issues with other foam/plastic type wraps not even lasting a month of use...I was looking for something similar to an old leather one I had. While this is leather, I think it might very well last a year or more. Great product.
