Filterleistung sehr gut. Sollte in keiner Sammlung fehlen.

Got this little initially thought "gadget" for my already in place RTL-SDR that I often use to listen to random radios or just the airport tower nearby, and this seems to nicely filter around the radio signals with the weird hiss being almost gone on most of the channels I look at.Of course could I have tuned my software filters better to get around the hiss? yes I could have and I did, but some still remain. However this kind of helps with that last remainign bit to clean the signal up.Sure you need a proper anntenae for receiving low frequency ham radio signals, but it does work perfectly for clearing up my nearby air tower callouts. Can recommend, great little thing, easy to set up just put it in line with the Radio of your choice (mind its directional) and done. It even comes with a nice adapter too!

This works great for its intended purpose of an AM broadcast bandstop filter.See attached spectrum analyser tracking generator sweep for all the details. The -3dB points are at 300kHz and 1900kHz and between 500kHz-1600kHz is where the filter really attenuates with at least -65dB.Build quality is good, being all anodised aluminium. It even comes with an SMA coupler, so the filter can be placed inline on an existing shortwave receiver.Highly recommended if you are a short wave listener and have strong broadcast signals nearby.73, M0UKD.

This Flamingo+ AM bandstop is meant to do one thing well and certainly performs when it comes to notch filtration on frequencies in the lower AM spectrum. It cleans up range allowing for reduction of interference and more focused reception of HAM radio signals or even capturing weather stations off long wavelength UHF towers. It did come bundled with an SMA coupler making whole setup process easier to plug in the bandstop AM filter operating at close to 70dB onto a compatible RTL-SDR dongle. Note that pole labeling is somewhat inverted where output must be plugged into SDR rather than on antenna end. The filter also requires manually unscrewing from both UHF antenna and SDR with no easier way to hotswap installation lacking on a quick detach connector. This has a unique tradeoff or limitation of waveform cutoff range which softens up attenuation in upper 23Mhz to 27MHz frequencies meaning simply leaving this filter always plugged in can cause inadvertent clipping. Although its put to a specific task of notching AM frequencies, that does reduce compatibility where I would have to manually remove this filter to restore demodulation on chipset reflections to capture HAM signals which bounce or reflect internally in direct receiver SDR modes. Put simply, overlapping of origin kHz to another frequency inadvertently clips some level of that reception as its meant to.Overall it does clean up reception of long wavelength broadcast in spectrum of around 300kHz to 1.6Mhz but tapering dB attenuation overlaps some upper reflections and while it requires complex SDR optimization its setup process is just plug & play between antennas and dongles.

This is a great notch filter for blocking AM band interference when working on RXing down in the HF frequencies with either an SDR or a traditional radio. AM radio stations can leak into a radio and cause a lot of problems, so having this filter can be a big help for mitigating those issues. It says you can leave this filter in place most of the time, but if you are transmitting, I would suggest removing it because it is not quite clear what kind of power handing this unit can handle. I don't really transmit when playing with SDRs, so I can't say for sure if that is an issue or not. This company has quite a few SDR related products out on the market, and I own a few of them, and they all seem very well made and useful, and this notch filter is no exception. It would be another nice tool to add to your RF experimentation toolkit.

I have an AM radio station near me, and my radio spectrum was full of interference, with this filter, my reception improved a lot, and I'm very satisfied of the product
