While Amazon is, in my experience, rarely a place to find a bargain, this is an exception.I needed a narrow filing-compatible pedestal to fit under a commercial-quality steel-framed desk. Having researched extensively online, most suitable solutions were £150 plus, with only cheap/nasty Ikea and other options available for less. Then I stumbled on this for under £80, which ticked all the right boxes:1. Construction: solid sheet steel all round, with a tough powder-coated finish. Perfect.2. Locking wheels: this has four castors, two of which lock, with a fifth supporting the lowest filing drawer. Perfect.3. Design: apart from the narrow width, which is useful when under desk space is at a premium, it looks very cool and smart, and still manages to accommodate foolscap files. The extra drwaers are a nice usable size.4. Locking: a straightforward lock which provides reasonable protection against forcing.5. Packing: a pleasant surprise was just how well-packed this item is. Within the box, over the expanded polystyrene padding, two black powder-coated steel frames and hard protective plastic cabinet corners ensure this pedestal is not crushed or dented in transit. I've not seen such good packing for far more expensive items. The steel frames are also good looking and are now seeing service as the basis for planting trays for my wife's gardening.Overall really happy with this purchase. Some very minor points (locking wheels still slide a little on wood floors; the need for some care when locking to ensure the lock engages properly) are no reason to mark this down. A great buy!
