Quick review - it's well made, fits perfectly, it's easy to fit and costs way less than a mid section from an exhaust centre.Very easy to fit - you'll need an angle grinder, a spanner, a new clamp (approx 54mm) and some exhaust paste to ensure a good seal.All you need to do is pull your old flex off the cat, offer up the new pipe and work out where to cut the old exhaust. Once cut, this just slides on and can be clamped to the cat using the existing v clamp. You'll need to buy a 54mm clamp for the back bit, these are a few quid.A local exhaust centre wanted £350 for a full mid section and a specialist wanted £250 to weld a new flexi in (that only costs £10). No idea what Mini would want, probably way over £500.I fitted this one in half an hour and am very impressed with this product.

Prompt delivery. Good fit. Seems robust and well made. Would have been even better if it was supplied with a clamp that I had to buy separately.

I was a bit dubious when I ordered the part to fix the blowing flexi-pipe on my daughter’s 2008 R56 Mini One 1.4 petrol, as in the description, the ‘Installation’ section says ‘bolt on’; but in the ‘about this item’ section it says ‘ High-Quality Stainless Steel, Repair Part (for welding)’ - i.e. WELDING - however I thought I’d chance it after being quoted £360 by a local exhaust fitting garage for a full system, as they said I would need a rear box as well as the middle box (the section with the flexi-pipe) as because it was still the original factory system, the tail of the new middle box section being male wouldn’t sleeve on to the original back box pipe (there was no suggestion of fitting a double sleeve?)Anyway, I’m pleased to say that the repair pipe is a simply fit - measure and chop back the pipe towards the middle box and the repair tube sleeves over it snuggly and the front end after the flexi-pipe slips in nicely to the flange of the cat.
