This BBC micro:bit starter kit from Freenove includes the microcontroller and all the accessories required for the 27 experimental projects listed in the instruction manual. This microcontroller can be coded by Blocks or Python. While all the 27 sample projects are quite simple, it does allow a beginner to learn about microcontrollers and practicing coding. Obviously, you will need to add components if you wish to experiment with slightly more complex projects. The current price of $67 CAD is slightly pricey.
