I have a Raspberry Pi 4 and this PoE hat changed how I use it. Now I don't have to power it with a big adapter and I managed to install it on a location where only ethernet cable was available (behind a wall tablet).Installation of the hat was easy. The manual is clear and understandable. The NVME extension does it's job perfectly. I installed a small, 256Gb SSD from an old notebook, but it works perfectly.My only concern is the temperature. The attached cooler is nice, but if you plan to use your pi heavily (like transcoding videos) then it might make sense to install a fan in the case too.

Ich habe GeeekPi P31 M.2 NVME M-Key PoE+ HAT with Official Raspberry Pi Active Cooler Module kostenlos zum Testen erhalten. Das Produkt wurde schnell geliefert und war sicher verpackt.Die bebilderte Anleitung macht den Zusammenbau einfach.Eine Funktionsbeschreibung ist denke ich nicht nötig (Kühler, Power Over Ethernet Erweiterung und NVME Steckplatz).Kühler funktioniert tadellos. Lüfter ist jetzt auch nicht aufdringlich laut.POE (5 Volt / 4,5A) klappt auch und die SSD wird auch problemlos erkannt.Das System bootet deutlich schneller und der Raspi läuft nicht heiß.Die Verarbeitung ist gut. Keine groben Fehler oder Produktionsmängel zu erkennen. Arbeitet wie versprochen. Preis geht in Ordnung. 5 Sterne

For me, swapping my previous NVMe-only HAT for this one proved to be truly life-changing, because I've always disliked to power my media-server Raspberry via the big and heavy official power brick, since it's just hidden next to a network router. The ability to use the NVMe drive for greater storage capacity, speed and reliability, together with the PoE power for simpler server placement with less cables, makes the Raspberry so much better for many use cases like mine. With WD SN770M 2TB drive I didn't run into any issues, and the Pi is running very stable powered just by the ethernet cable. The thermals are so-so, but that's to be expected with the (supplied) official cooler; I think it's good for most use cases, and only in some extreme cases you should get a case that has additional cooling. GeeekPi accessories are my favorite, and this one didn't disappoint.

Il nuovo modulo progettato da 52Pi e fornito da GeeekPi risponde a due principali esigenze: la possibilità di avviare il sistema da un SSD M2 ed alimentare il device attraverso connessione Ethernet PoE. In particolare l'adattatore consente di collegare SSD in formato M.2 (2242 e 2230) al Raspberry Pi 5 tramite l'interfaccia PCI Express, migliorando notevolmente le prestazioni del dispositivo. Tramite le guide reperibili sul web, si può clonare il sistema direttamente dalla micro sd sul drive montato. Inoltre come precedentemente menzionato, la scheda consente di alimentare il Raspberry Pi 5 attraverso la porta Ethernet in maniera semplice ed intuitiva (ovviamente, il router deve predisporre della funzionalità PoE).N.B.: non va inserita anche l'alimentazione tramite USB tipo C, il dispositivo si romperebbe.Da considerare l'assorbimento complessivo dei moduli e delle memorie, potreste avere problemi di undervoltage, un iconcina di allarme apparirà a schermo. Le dimensione complessive permettono l'inserimento del dispositivo nella maggior parte dei case presenti sul mercato. Nella confezione è presente inoltre la ventolina PWM ufficiale, che adegua la velocità alle temperature in automatico. Considerando il rapporto qualità/prezzo esiguo, le funzionalità offerte e la qualità dei materiali, assegno al prodotto un punteggio di 5 stelle su 5.

So this board does the job well. No problems with network connectivity and the connected NVME drive is certainly faster than the MicroSD.I'm using the Pi as a small Zabbix server and was concerned all the logging would potentially wear out a MicroSD quickly, so I wanted to use an NVME.The only issue I found is that when connected to a 7" screen which takes power from the Pi HDM , I was getting the under power icon showing. Plugging in a proper Pi power adapter stopped this from happening.Now this 'could' be my POE switch is under-performing; but another make on another Pi worked fine.The potential power issue is not a problem for my use case as it will be running headless (no screen) and I haven't had any issues since the screen was removed.

Es handelt sich um wertige Standardkomponenten, die im Bundle zu einem fairen Preis abgegeben wurden. Wer also nicht gerade ein Montagsprodukt erwischt, kann zufrieden sein.

Ich probiere gerne etwas herum und das auch oft mit einen Raspberry Pi. Bislang hatte ich verschiedene Projekte realisiert. Vom eigenen NAS, über ein Pi-Hole, eine Überwachungskamera und vieles mehr. Das wurde alles mit Raspberry-Pis erledigt. Vom kleinen Zero bis hin zum Pi 5 und da ich schon seit längerem mal einen Pi als Alltags-Rechner benutzen wollte und das Modell 5 endlich mit einem Ein-Aus-Knopf versehen ist, wollte ich einen Pi 5 mit 8 GB Ram zur Recherche und weiteren Zwecken nutzen.Um die Performance zu steigern musste eine M.2 NVME SSD her, mit der ich schnellere Zugriffzeiten erreiche und somit schneller Programme öffnen kann und auch mit dem Pi leichte Arbeit verrichten kann.Dafür habe ich mir diese Erweiterungsplatine zugelegt und ich bin begeistert über den Unterschied, den das Ganze macht, weshalb ich dem Artikel 5 von 5 Sternen geben möchte.

This does the job well enough and have, so far, had no issues with network connectivity. To note, this is NOT a Raspberry Pi 5 but an accessory for it.Installation is pretty straightforward using guides available online. Once configured, the device works pretty well. The power supply is intuitive and means you don't need as many cables as you only need to power the Po with one cable.The NVMe SSD is faster and more reliable than a microSD, and so I was able to get a fast system start up and an even faster response, overall.This fan adjusts speed according device temperature and is quiet, equalling longevity for your Raspberry.The only issue I found is that when I connected a monitor via HDMI, I got an error. This is apparently due to the PoE switch being unable to provide enough power. Once I used without a monitor, it worked fine.Overall, this is a great accessory for those who want to maximise speed and simplify the power supply of the Raspberry Pi 5, and it comes in at a very reasonable £37.99 (at time of review).

La boutique GeekPi nous propose ici un PoE+Hat pour Raspberry pi 5, affiché à 39,99 euros lors de la commande.Important, ne fonctionne qu'avec un Raspberry Pi 5, qui n'est bien entendu pas fourni.Ce PoE+Hat permet donc d'alimenter via ethernet et d'ajouter un SSD. Un ventilateur actif Raspberry Pi est également fourni, avec les vis de montages.Rien à redire sur la qualité des soudures, tout est nickel.Le petit livret de documentation fourni est assez complet.Un petit tournevis est fourni, des fois qu'on veuille s'y attaquer les mains dans les poches.

Se acopla a la perfección y no hace que sea mucho mas grande en tamaño, quiza un poco más como si tuviera la carcasa original. He aprovechado una memoria de una steam deck que tenia guardada cuando le meti a la maquina de steam un tera de memoria y ahora mi Raspi va mucho más rapido.Detallar que al desembalar el contenido de la caja, vienen las instrucciones para introducir los comandos en caso de introducir una memoria nueva, la verdad que es todo un detalle.

Das GeeekPi P31 M.2 NVME HAT ist eine tolle Möglichkeit, um die Einsatzmöglichkeiten des Raspberry Pi zu erweitern. Der Einbau und die Nutzung gestalten sich einfach, und das Design ist kompakt, sodass es sich perfekt in das Raspberry-Setup integrieren lässt. Besonders hilfreich ist das aktive Kühlsystem, das dafür sorgt, dass der Pi auch bei intensiven Anwendungen kühl bleibt. Für alle, die mit ihrem Pi mehr anstellen möchten, ist dieses HAT eine wertvolle Ergänzung. 5/5 Sterne

Das GeeekPi M.2 NVMe PoE Hat in Kombination mit dem originalen Raspberry Pi 5 Active Cooler erfüllt seinen Zweck, jedoch gibt es einige kleinere Punkte, die Verbesserungspotenzial haben.Installation:Die Anleitung ist zwar grundsätzlich ausreichend, könnte aber definitiv ausführlicher sein. Ein besonderes Manko war, dass die Pins des HAT-Adapters (Pi5 -> HAT) bereits bei der Lieferung leicht verbogen waren, was die Installation unnötig erschwert hat.Anleitung:Ein weiterer Punkt, der auffiel, war ein Schreibfehler in der Anleitung. In der boot/firmware/config.txt steht „dtparm=...“, es sollte jedoch „dtparam=...“ sein. Das mag kleinlich erscheinen, kann aber für Verwirrung sorgen, besonders wenn man nicht so versiert ist. Die NVMe-Installationsanleitung war klar verständlich und hat auf Anhieb funktioniert.Trotz dieser Mängel erfüllt das Set seinen Zweck und sorgt für eine stabile und gut gekühlte PoE-Verbindung. Mit ein wenig Feinschliff an der Anleitung und besserer Qualitätskontrolle bei den Pins wäre es ein Top-Produkt.Fazit:Wenn man ein paar kleinere Unannehmlichkeiten in Kauf nimmt, erhält man ein brauchbares und funktionales Zubehör für den Raspberry Pi 5.

Grundsätzlich ein komplettes System, was es ermöglicht den RaspI schneller zu starten und vor allem das Problem der letztendlich ausfallenden SD-Karten beseitigt.Bei mir läuft der Raspi als Steuerung meiner Solaranlage (Software: Solar-Assistant) die es ermöglicht meine Inverter und Batterien separat zu monitoren, zu steuern und gleichzeitig aber auch die Verbindung zu homeassistant herzustellen. Da bei jede Zelle meiner 3 Batterien einzeln überwacht werden kann, war es dringend nötig für eine Echtzeitdarstellung die Leistungsfähigkeit des Kontrollsystems hochzufahren.Das ist mit GeekPI M2 Adapter bestens geglückt. Auch die Kühlung erfolgt dank des gleichzeitige getesteten Miuzei Gehäuses ausreichend, sprich der mitgelieferte Kühler hält den Raspi ausreichend kühl.Im Vergleich zum Raspi und mit M2-Karte ist das ERgänzungsset zwar genauso teuer wie der Raspi selbst, aber den Leistungssprung, gerade beim booten wert.Von daher gerne 5 Sterne.
