3GB/s lesen und schreiben an einem Mac Studio M1 mit einer Lexar NM790 (4 TB). Ausgezeichnete Verarbeitung und – untypisch für externe SSD-Gehäuse – sehr gute passive Wärmeableitung. Die mitgeliefertem Wärmeleitpads haben die perfekte Höhe und kühlen sowohl die SSD als auch den ASM2464PD Device Controller.Einziges Manko: Nur die Oberseite der SSD kann thermischen Kontakt mit dem Gehäuse haben. SSDs mit beidseitiger Bestückung können also nicht optimal gekühlt werden.

Im allgemeinen bin ich mit dem Produkt zufrieden. Was mich aber etwas stört, ist dass die Geschwindigkeit der Datenübertragung etwas reduziert wird. Ja es steht auf den Bilder geschrieben , das habe ich hinterher erkannt. Ich bin davon ausgegangen , dass bei einer Schnittstelle mit Thunderbolt 4, die volle Leistung geliefert wird.Deshalb 1 Stern weniger.

After using this 40Gbps m.2 ssd enclosure for several month, this product is really what I need, an aluminum portable enclosure without a fan to pair my WD Black SN850X 4tb SSD. I ran speed tests on my mac and they both fell within expected speed (2500 write, 3000 read).I also made the extra storage for my new mac mini m4, which is also much suit for this. Not only quite as the internal storage of the mini, but also fast enough to serve as the every-day boot volume to spare the internal from additional wear and tear. Set up is much simple and it runs relatively cool to touch. A cost-effective solution for extra storage, high recommend this one.No driver needed, plug and play. Highly recommend it.

Estava com receio em relação à qualidade e possíveis velocidades, mas revelou-se uma excelente surpresa.Testado com um SSD NVMe M.2 Kingston KC3000/512GB, em 2 computadores Mac:- iMac de 2017, com processador 3,4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM e MacOS- MacBook Pro de 2021, com processador M1, 16GB RAM e MacOS SonomaEm qualquer deles as velocidades atingidas foram excelentes e de acordo com as características das máquinas.No iMac o SSD atingiu velocidades à volta de 2500MB/s (leitura) e 1500MB/s (escrita).No MacBook Pro atingiu velocidades à volta de 5000MB/s (leitura) e 4200MB/s (escrita).Mesmo com utilização intensiva o arrefecimento é eficiente.Vem acompanhado de duas chaves para os parafusos, 2 conjuntos de pads de arrefecimento e uma bolsa de transporte.Excelente opção para quem tenha um computador mais antigo, com discos lentos e queira fazer um upgrade de velocidade sem grandes investimentos ou complicações técnicas.-----------------------------------------Excellent product! This enclosure is fast once you discover the method of unlocking the write speed (thanks ChatGPT). I had to enable Windows' write caching (Device Manager → Disk Drives → (Your USB SSD) → Policies). Before that write speed was limited to 1/10th of what was expected.Don't expect ANY support (or even a response to queries) from the manufacturer.Instructions for installing the cooling pads are vague to the point of being worthless.

One of the best NVMe enclosure l used and l have a few. Nice built and come with all you need to setup the HD. And even with a bag for storage when on the move heatsink pad and that it which is great. No fan so no humming noise does get a little hot but that expected. The write and read speeds over 3000 with 2TB NVMe drive but you have to use the lead it come's with and a good NVMe drive. Overall a great buy a little costly but worth the Money A+

Use it combined with 1TB Kingston KC3000 card (as boot disc) to replace an iMac's (2019) 1TB internal hard disk. Write speed (measured with the Black Magic app) went to 1500 Mbps, read speed to over 2400 Mbps when connecting over the Thunderbolt 3 port. It really makes a difference (the read/write times of the internal HD were less than 50 Mbps and using the iMac was a real nightmare).It gets warm but not really hot. I must admit that I do not have long time experience yet.

Absolut zufrieden. Habe ich jetzt 2x gekauft. Stationär für meinen M4 Pro (WD Black SN850X 4TB) und mobil für mein MacBook Pro M4 (Lexar NM790 4TB). Super Geschwindigkeit und gute Hitze Abführung. Die Optik find ich perfekt :)

Nutze das Gehäuse als externes Startvolume an meinem MacMini M2 Pro um die interne SSD nicht nutzen zu müssen.Die angegebenen Lese & Schreibraten werden erreicht, natürlich nicht bei jedem Format und Größe! Ich nutze aktuell eine relativ günstige Crucial P3 Plus SSD und bin damit völlig zufrieden. Das Gehäuse wird bei mir maximal handwarm z.B. bei einem Belastung & Speedtest.Als einfacher Entwickler / Datenanalyst reicht mir die Performance voll aus. Mein erster Versuch mein Startvolume extern zu nutzen hatte ich mit einem dieser Untersetzer Hubs versucht. Man konnte zwar normal arbeiten, aber der Start und Shut Down waren durch die Verschlüsselung nicht der Hit. Der Unterschied ist enorm.
