This companies books are great for cheaply setting the scene and playing out D&D scale battles. High res images and good quality pages that clean off dry erase markers with ease as long as you don't leave them there for days at a time.

This one book has most basic scenes your party might encounter. 3D terrain takes too long to set up, is hard to travel with, and takes up a lot of storage space. This is so much better and the art is great. This is the best of their battle mat books so far (I bought all three Giant editions and they are my most valued DM tool). I particularly love the library that only comes with the Giant sized book. I have also used Sharpie markers on these mats and it comes off easily with a bit of rubbing alcohol and a damp rag.
