We used to have the grays small sock held shin guards but swapped to this style due to the additional ankle protection offered. In tandem with the grays shin liners there are no more complaints about sore or rubbing pads. The size guide is accurate and worth using to get the correct size your child's needs. First hockey match with them on and two hard hits to the ankle later, very glad we made the purchase.

Great shin coverage, 5ft 4" daughter has large, 10 year old son is average height and has medium. The sizing advice is appalling on this product, as with all Grays stuff, but a great product. Second to none.
