I used these to fit around an ethernet cable and then to block the end of some trunking which the cable was running through . (I had to drill a hole in them and then cut from one side to the hole to do so). The rubber was easy to cut and feels a little tacky to the touch so I wouldn't use them for something where the aesthetics are important.
