Beim ersten Mal ging es schief Spaghettis oberhalb trocken aber sicher lag es an mir beim zweiten Mal supi würde ich immer weiter empfehlen

This is the best product I’ve seen that cooks both pasta and spaghetti perfectly…Not so sure about the “elephant “ design but I would certainly recommend for cooking with.If you have a larger microwave it’ll fit perfectly and is so easy to clean afterwards.

I’ve always wanted to be able to cook pasta in the microwave and now I can.I’ve tried cooking pasta in the microwave before and it always boils over but if you follow the instructions provided with this container, it doesn’t boil over at all. It does, however, produce a lot of steam and condensation so I still have water all over the microwave and the worktop but at least my pasta is cooked.The first thing you need to be aware of is the size of the container. I have a large 26L microwave but the container gets stuck when the turntable turns. I found that putting a plate under the container solved this issue.As you cook the pasta without the lid on, the condensation is really bad. It’s so bad, it actually drips out of the bottom of my microwave. It’s just water though and can be mopped up easily with paper towels. It’s so much better than standing over the stove cooking pasta, you can just put this in the microwave and forget about it until it pings.It’s a little disappointing that you don’t put the lid on for cooking but the lid is really good for draining the water without losing half of your pasta down the sink.I love pasta and I’m having it more often now that I have this microwavable container. As long as you have a big microwave, I would recommend this container.

This looked like a good idea - and could be worth a try but I do have some reservations about it. I got it both to save money instead of using the main cooker hob and to save on pans as pasta can be cooked in this with no need for a colander to drain it and possibly inclusions such as mushrooms and frozen peas added. Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time.To suggest this is in the shape of an elephant is a little far-fetched. The ear-like handles at the sides are, I imagine, what drew the comparison but the lack of resemblance made no difference to me. My microwave is integrated into the kitchen cabinetry and is round about eye level.This is one of the reasons it wouldn't be likely to work well for me. It would feel a little dangerous lifting this pasta cooker down from my microwave. That said, I found the cooker wouldn't even fit into my microwave. So check dimensions prior to purchase.Bear in mind if you're considering this cooker that in use it contains boiling water and pasta and will be weighty if you have 4 servings inside it. The elephant ears/handles are not at each end but on the two long sides. I wonder whether the manufacturers have seen a standard domestic microwave of the type used in the UK given the placing of the handles.You'd then need to get the pasta cooker to the sink for draining, hold the handles and tip to drain out the water but, as the instruction sheet states 'The boiling water can leak out the sides and burn to the hand'. This would not fill me with confidence.In my view, using a pan on the hob and maybe needing a colander to drain it afterwards would be safer than using this pasta cooker. Plus, the drainage section on the latter is small at around 4cm across so dependent on how much pasta you've cooked, it may take a while to drain.The build quality seems reasonable - this is made from BPA-free food grade polypropylene. Maybe if you have a large microwave that's sited on a counter top, you may see its usefulness but overall I'm not a fan and I don't think this is a great kitchen gadget. And, for an unknown brand, the price point seems punchy.

This is really easy to use, it didn’t boil over so no mess inside the microwave and when you put the lid on you can drain it easily without burning yourself on steam. Perfect spaghetti in 16 mins.

Ich kenne bei mir selbst das Gefühl, dass ich mal wieder einfach zu neugierig bin, und mir etwas leiste, was ich wahrscheinlich bereuen werde, weil sich nach ein paar gelegentlichen Versuchung das neue "Wunderwerk" der Haustechnik als nett, aber unnotwendig entpuppt. Das war hier nicht der Fall. Naja eigentlich doch, aber ich wurde eines Besseren belehrt. Als der Pastamacher für die Mikrowelle ankam, dachte ich noch "Naja, das wird wieder was sein!" Aber nachdem ich die ersten Nudeln - streng nach beiligender Anweisung aus der Mikrowelle geholt habe, durch den einfachen Ausguss abgegossen und probiert habe, hat sich der Pastamacher zu meinem neuen Lieblingsstück in meiner Küche gemausert. Man bekommt wirklich einwandfreie Nudeln und vor allem das Gefühl, hier wirklich auf die Schnelle mal ein Gericht gekocht zu haben, das sogar schmeckt. Während die Pasta in der Mikrowelle war, musste ich mich eilen, damit meine Hackfleischsoße fertig wird und das Ergebnis war eher so, als hätte ich langsam und mit Bedacht gekocht und nicht einfach so mal zwischen Spülmaschine ausräumen und Soße kochen. Gut, es sind auch nur Nudeln, aber es fällt eine Menge weg. Auf das Wasser warten, Nudeln rühren, Nudeln prüfen, Nudeln abgießen und in eine Schüssel tun, den Herd abwischen, weil sie ja doch wieder übergekocht sind... darauf konnte ich bisher mit dem Pastamacher verzichten und einfach die fertigen Nudeln aus dem Topf holen. Ob sich das für jemanden lohnt, das Geld für eine Mikrowellenversion eines Kochtopfs mit Wasser auszugeben, kann ich nicht beurteilen, für mich ist das Leben dadurch doch so viel einfacher geworden, dass ich nicht mehr auf das Teil verzichten möchte.
