This meat thermometer is an essential tool for all kitchens.It allows for virtually instant temperature readings on anything from a sausage to a steak.It is always to hand because of the built in magnet so it can be attached to your fridge, your stove or to your overhead microwave.Unfolding the probe turns the thermometer on and inserting the probe into whatever you are cooking gives you a reading within just 2 or 3 seconds.Engraved on the case is a range of required temperatures for poultry, beef, lamb, pork or veal and if that is not enough for your needs the manufacturer has included a chart of required temperatures for most meats which you can attach to your fridge for easy access.The included battery is a standard 2032 which you can easily pick up anywhere.

I just love this meat thermometer. First, it's smartly sized and shaped for a good grip. Even with wet or oily hands, you won't be constantly dropping this one on your kitchen floor.Second, there isn't a complicated process for turning it on. On my other thermometers I have to remove a cap from the probe and press a tiny button to start it, but on this one you simply unfold the probe and it starts automatically. That kind of ease-of-use and simplicity is appreciated when you're staring face-first into a hot oven.Third, the display is quite large, as are the numbers for the temperature reading, and the display itself is backlit. It's SO easy to read what the temperature is.Fourth, I LOVE that the back side is magnetic! I keep this stuck to the side of my fridge, which is a perfect arm's reach from my stove. No more rifling through drawers trying to find it.Fifth, there's a nice little scale to remind you of the appropriate cooking temperatures for fish, poultry and ground meats, as well as the temperatures for beef, pork and lamb that correspond to being cooked Medium Rare, Medium, Medium-Well and Well done.Lastly, I tested this against my other thermometers and the results were pretty much identical, so I am assuming this one is accurate.All together, this is a great meat thermometer that is a joy to use and is available at a great price.

Very nice digital meat thermometer with lots of features. Comes with a temperature chart, user guide and also a small plastic disk to make opening the battery compartment easier. Battery is included. The probe folds in which helps protect it when not in use. Once folded out it's automatically turned on. A button allows you to select between F and C. Another button holds the temp so that the reading is still there when you pull the probe out to look at it. An on/off button to reactivate when it goes into auto shutoff after a few seconds of non use. Also has a bottle opener on one end which is neither here nor there for me. What I do like is that it has magnetic back so it will stick to the metal knife rail we use. Easy to use and registers fairly quickly. Seemed accurate when tested along side another thermometer we have. It's backlit making it easier to read. Also the contrast of white lettering on black aids in reading the temperature guide on the handle. All in all a decent thermometer

Very simple to use meat thermometer.Unfold the probe and it powers up automatically.Poke the piece of food, get a temperature result in a few seconds.Hold down a button and it keeps the probe temperature on the display.Wash the probe.Close the probe and it shuts off.Includes a temperature guide on the surface of the grip beside the display window.Can be set to either degrees C of FMagnetic back so you can stick it to the side of a fridge or similar.Excellent value for a top quality temperature probe.
