Got this as a replacement for my pre-existing part, and it fit perfectly with no issues when I used the bike. It’s made of good quality and comes with a set of tools, making installation hassle-free even if you don’t already have the tools. It seems reasonably priced—highly recommend.

On the plus side it is well machined, no sharp edges, well painted, with a variety of bolts and Allen keys required for fitting. And if it works on your bike it's cheaper than new v brakes. Simple to fit.On the negative side it only fits rigid forks with a large hole for the steerer plug. It doesn't fit suspension forks, and if it did, even with the plug extended, the attached brake calliper won't reach the rim. No use for fitting a shorter drop calliper on a road bike, as carbon forks don't have a steerer hole. Plus the supplied bolts aren't long enough to fit right through a carbon crown. The bike frame needs additional holes on the seat stays ( for rear rack fitting ) to stabilise the adapter and prevent it tipping sideways, rubbing on the rim on one side. Out of 40 bikes I checked ( in a local bike shop ), 2 had rear rack mounts suitable, but neither had a rigid fork to accommodate the front mount. It is simple to fit, only if you have seen the pictures in the advert. No instructions included for those not familiar with bike components. In summary, it's a niche product.Better to replace the v brakes already present with new ones. therefore no issues with compatibility.
