the case has only two fans... there is no ventilation in the left side hence, the hdd's and/or expansion card... so weird.Apart from the two central fans, there is no other hole to put a fan on it (except milling the case).The craft is good, just the drawing engineer forgot the aim of his job : manufacturing a server case w/o proper venting is just stupid....I'll keep the case and I will use my "Dremel" and make at least one fan on the first quarter from de left and perhaps one the rear of the left side panel as extractor to force venting the expansion card and the rear hdd slot.EDIT : more design defectsAlso the rear big hole were you the protecion plate is a non sense, as Tomas mentioned it.My Asus mITX does not have two versions... so 'ATX is to narrow for the 1U height ... So I can understand the why there is a sort of plote that comes by ... but seriously... this is a cucu's nest... if you have to.Nevertheless... because the lack of alternatives... I'll conitue to use it and recommend it, if your able to customize it.For other sizes... there is a bit more choice ...The big problems resides int lack of engineers ... and the greed of the manufacturer.

The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because of the backpanel hole design. This enclosure has a hole in the back where the motherboard main I/O ports are supposed to be, but it comes with a thin aluminium mesh that I think you're supposed to cut your own holes into. Most motherboards come with standard backpanels to cover the hole, but the desktop versions are somewhat bigger and don't fit this case. Some motherboards will have special packpanels designed for rack cases like this, which are about 40mm high. I've ordered one for my mobo, but there's no way to latch it onto the case, it just floats freely. You can't screw it in like the aluminium mesh because it's shorter, and there re no screw holes available on the top. Will probably have to do some DIY modding..

Gehäuse ist okay, aber es gibt sicher Besseres.... Habe eine Mini-ITX Platine und zwei 2,5" Laufwerke und eine Flex PSU drin montiert und das hat gepasst. Die eingebauten Lüfter sind eher laut, aber für einen Server akzeptabel.Was mir nicht gefällt ist dass die Öffnung für die Anschlüsse des Mainboards hinten am Gehäuse etwas kleiner ist als die Norm und ich konnte die mit dem Mainboard mitgelieferte Blende nicht verwenden. Stattdessen musste ich die beim Gehäuse mitgelieferte Blende aus einem Maschen- Metall verwenden wo man die Öffnungen für LAN, USB, HDMI...Anschlüsse selber rausschneiden mussen. Nicht schön, wackelig und passt auch nicht so dolle.

Ich habe diese Gehäuse für ein mini-ITX Celeron N3150 Board gekauft.Die Verarbeitung ist sehr gut, ein stabiles und im besten Sinne schweres Gehäuse.Die Ventilationsöffnungen an der Front sind sehr schön ausgeführt, der Staubfilter wurde aber wohl mit einer Heckenschere zugeschnitten. Die Frontschalter für Power und Reset haben ein solides mechanisches und akustisches Feedback. Die Kabel des Frontpanels machen einen wertigen Eindruck.Die verbauten 40x40x20 Lüfter von Dongguan Xiangxin Electronic sind zu laut. Das ist für ein Rechenzentrum in Ordnung - sie fördern auch richtig viel Luft -, für den ambitionierten Heimanwender, den dieses Gehäuse eher adressiert, ist es aber untragbar. Die Lüfter sind an einem Molex zu 2x 3-Pin Adapter angeschlossen, so dass ein Austausch nicht schwer fällt.Jedes Teil des Gehäuses außer der Mainboard-Standoffs ist demontierbar, eine Anpassung an die persönlichen Erfordernisse also einfach.Insgesamt ein Gehäuse, das ich für jedes 1HE-Projekt empfehle.
