This wine/bottle opener does the job nicely. We tested it on wine and beer. It worked on both!

A high end bottle opener. Solid build and quality materials. This is something any aspiring wine-o should own. This will likely be the last bottle opener you will ever need.

I am a sucker for a good corkscrew, and have had "waiter's key" style corkscrews since I was a waiter in the early 90's.This is a very attractive, well made corkscrew. The wooden handle sides beautifully accent the heavy duty stainless steel to which they are riveted, and it is obvious this is a well crafted tool. The design is very aesthetically pleasing, and contains some nice decorative touches like the pattern on the top of the handle between the wood sides and the groove on the corkscrew itself. The tolerances of the folding parts is very tight and adds to the premium feel.The corkscrew contains the following pieces / functions: a standard beer bottle opener, a foil cutter blade, the corkscrew itself, and the folding "arm" that acts as the lever to apply pressure to the bottle retract the cork.The corkscrew works smoothly and easily and as the handle is long (almost 7.5" when unfolded,) there is no problem getting sufficient torque to drive the corkscrew into the cork. The lever arm contains a spring loaded tip that help keep the the arm evenly against the lip of the wine bottle. I've never seen that before, but it is a nice feature.This is definitely the nicest example of a waiter's key corkscrew I've ever owned, and is a nice addition to anyone's bar or kitchen.
